PT-1 Loos Tension Gauge

An affordable yet accurate hands-free method of checking the tension of your standing rig.

This version of the loos tension gauge offers higher accuracy and is easier to use than the standard models. The cable can be conveniently adjusted while the gauge remains in place, just watch the pointer move to your desired tension and you're done!

Manufactured of rugged anodized aluminum, this gauge is corrosive resistant and will give years of service. Detailed operating instructions are included with each tension gauge. All readings are based on 302/304 1x19 S.S breaking strengths.

The PT 1 Loose Gauge is the standard loose gauge for the Melges E Scow, Melges 20, M15, and Melges A Scow. Rig Tension numbers referenced in Melges/ Quantum Sails tuning guides correspond with the PT-1 loose gauge.
